FAQs

Commonly ASKED Questions About Document Shredding Services

Document shredding. This quick and easy procedure cuts your documents into thousands of tiny pieces of paper. Any private or sensitive material is no longer legible and you can relax knowing your documents have been thoroughly destroyed.

Your personal data isn’t safe in regular disposal methods. Anyone can access your materials at public dump sites and waste facilities. There’s also the high probability of papers flying away during rubbish collection. You or your company’s information getting into the wrong hands can have disastrous results.

Vault Document Destruction offers you a range of different shredding services. Whether you want on-site shredding or off-site shredding, we can organise a solution for your needs. Vault services Melbourne and its surrounding suburbs.

Vault’s commercial shredders cut your hard drives and digital storage devices into many small fragments, making it impossible to retrieve any information from them. A much more comprehensive service than just erasing the data, there’s no way to access anything on the hard drive after we destroy it. We’ll also provide you with Certificates of Destruction including the serial numbers we recorded before destruction.

Secure product destruction refers to anything that’s been permanently destroyed. This covers any materials that are physically destroyed and rendered unrecoverable, no longer accessible for their information or intended use.

Yes. Once our electronic materials are destroyed, we salvage the recyclable components and send them off to be repurposed. These include pieces of metal and plastic that would otherwise end up in landfills. Vault values sustainable business practices.

How Does it Work?

  • For Off-Site services, we will schedule a pick up of your confidential document bins or bags and securely transport them to our facility for destruction.
  • For On-Site services, our shredding vehicle comes to your business office, residential place, or facility to shred the documents On-Site. You, as our customer, can visually confirm and verify your confidential documents are destroyed. No documents leave your premises unless they are completely shredded. The shredded material is then transported to the recycling facility to be processed. We will issue a Certificate of Destruction at the end of each service.

When Vault Document Destruction staff visits your site, they will park near your premises. The documents will be put in a lock secured bin and transported to the shredding vehicle for destruction. The locked container will be opened within the confinement of the truck and have the content shredded.

how do you ensure my documents are safe?

  • A qualified Vault driver will transport your documents, held inside of a secured Vault locked bin, to their vehicle.
  • The specialised vehicle will always remain locked, only accessed when the driver requires its service for other customers. The bin that holds your documents will also remain locked until the end of the day. This practice ensures that your private information is secure. We understand how important this step is and enforce strict guidelines for all our drivers to follow.
  • The driver will remove all bins from their truck and carefully empty all of their contents into our shredding equipment, ready for complete destruction.
